Turbo Yeast Wash

7/28/2017

Turbo wash is the easiest wash to make however due to the high alcohol content and the nutrient mix,  the resultant  alcohol can develop an off taste that many describe as akin to methylated spirits.
7kg sugar or 8kg dextrose
1 sachet of turbo yeast

Fill your fermenter with either sugar or dextrose.
Top up to 25L with water and stir until sugar or dextrose is dissolved.
Add turbo yeast and ferment at 22-35C
When gravity reaches .990 on your hydrometer transfer to the still and run

Firstly congratulations on a straight-forward helpful website! You mention that the shitty sugarwash taste is due to the high alcohol content and the nutrient -- there is no mention of nutrient in your recipe!

That's because turbo yeast has all the nutrients added all in one packet.
There is no control on how much you want to add. It's drinkable.

hanks for sharing the article, and more importantly, your personal experience mindfully using our emotions as data about our inner state and knowing when it’s better to de-escalate by taking a time out are great tools. Appscreciate you reading and sharing your story since I can certainly relate and I think others can to
